Dance and Movement

Movement and dance are different for all of us as we come from various places of cultural familiarity and ability.
​
I am trained in various styles of dance, and am familiar with teaching audiences of different ages, different abilities, and different social and cultural backgrounds how to move their bodies.

I teach the following styles and dance histories:

Latin: Bachata and Salsa
Modern and Contemporary dance foundations
Ritual, symbolic, and idiographic movements

Latin Dance Lesson + Immersive Noir

Latin Dance instruction with dancer extraordinaire Kevin Talmer Whiteneir. This live and immersive radio theatre experience the FIRST in this serial noir.
The show starts at 7:30 and lasts approximately 98 minutes with a brief intermission. The show concludes with Latin dance instruction and dancing until 10 PM.
Beginner Salsa and Bachata introduces students to the foundations of Salsa and Bachata dancing. Students will learn the eight-count footwork that forms the basis for Salsa and Bachata, as well as beginner spins, tricks, and lead-and-follow styling to add flair to their choreography. Students will also learn some history and background to music and dance within Latin culture.
Beginner Salsa Techniques on 1 at Chicago Rebellion Rising Studio
